Summer 2017 Message

Dear All

We are in our final week before the summer break. Parents visited school last week for parents’ evening. I hope you are all pleased with the progress pupils have made this year. The final assembly is at 1.30p.m. on Friday. All families are welcome to join us for assembly.

Our summer newsletter has lots of information about the activities we have enjoyed this term.

Work with Lancasterian School and possible federation

Some of you will be aware that the leadership team of North Ridge have been supporting Lancasterian School for this academic year.

We are at the informal stage of considering whether the 2 schools should federate. We are willing to receive any comments that will help in the decision making process. Under federation both schools will retain their unique characteristics and identities.

There will be a single Governing Body over the federation with representatives from the schools and services.

If the two Governing Bodies decide to take this to the formal stages we will write to you in the autumn term.

This year has been an amazing year for North Ridge. I feel very proud to be the head of our school. I would like to thank staff, pupils and governors for their hard work and support for North Ridge. I wish you all a very enjoyable summer. To pupils, families and staff leaving on Friday I wish you success in the future.

School closes on Friday 21st July for the summer break and reopens to pupils on Wednesday 6th September.

The summer play scheme starts Monday 24th July.

Best wishes,
